The last few days I've come across things that inspired me to create sarcastic parody designs. Little things strike my eye and remind me of something ridiculously non-related. The first was while I was surfing the net and saw Mitt Romney presidential campaign pins. I looked at the photo of a handful of pins and immediately thought it looked like toothpaste...ya know, that defined toothpaste swirl on every toothbrush ad. So for about 30 minutes or so before I left for work earlier this week, I created this. It's not the best quality since I had a short amount of time before I had to leave for work, but this was more for the comedic idea behind the design of Mr. Romney's logo. I feel like it's one of those "once you see it, you can't unsee it" designs.
Moving onto number 2 of this post...After shooting golf for one of our studio's high schools, I went back to the studio with some down time. Everyone at the studio was going to go see a magician that we photographed earlier in the month. He had a show coming up and invited the studio as his guests. Now, since I was waiting for the time to leave, a co-worker and I were playfully teasing about two other chatty co-workers deserve a logo and he mentioned that I should create a logo for which he named "World Series of Talking". So, while I was at the studio, I was playing around with creating one, but never finished it. However, a couple nights ago, I decided to make a second attempt at it with a whole new design. Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the World Series of Talking.
